Artist Residency Program
'Locali' is a unique residency program. This program encompasses all the essential elements associated with the term 'residency': guest accommodations, creative spaces, a platform for performances, interaction with local communities, all within spaces that inspire.
The first place is Neve Shalom - Wahat Al-Salam is a village that exemplifies a model of shared society, situated midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on the grounds of Latrun Monastery. In this village, Jews and Palestinians have chosen to live together.
The second location is the city of Nazareth – the largest Arab city in Israel, renowned for its rich history, culture, and culinary heritage. The third location is the Druze village of Majdal Shams, nestled in the mountainous regions of northern Mount Golan, known for its unique culture.
Open Call for Performers
Artists at all career stages from around the world are invited to apply for the ’Locali’ residency program. Program objectives include providing a space for intercultural dialogue, as well as fostering personal and collective artistic research that will contribute to cultural pluralism. We encourage submissions from artists in various performing arts disciplines including theater, dance, music, performance, cinema, circus, and more. The residency program includes a 31-day stay throughout the year. Artists will receive a grant of up to 7000 ILS. The program will conclude with three presentations/shows at three different venues.
